Crunch Time

Well, we have reached semester crunch time--help! With papers due and tests galore the mundane tasks of life fall by the way-side. If you are like me that includes healthy eating practices--when I'm under stress I snack rather than dine. So what do you eat when you don't have time to prepare healthy meals? In the past few years I've tried to upgrade my snacking--fruit, cut up vegetables, yogurt, jerky--sometimes these satisfy and sometimes they don't. What do you recommend?

I buy canned pineapple and eat that stuff for breakfast lunch and dinner. I also tend to drink a lot of soda...

Honey-roasted peanuts are my favorite snack food. I like to enjoy them with a bottle of Dr. Pepper.

I like to plan my snacks as a fruit and a carb because they give me energy but keep my eatng habits on the healthy side. Usually I grab for some honey wheat pretzels and eat some applesauce and that holds me over for a while

Maybe not the healthiest snack but I seem to always have some fig newtons in my backpack that I'm working on. They are food on the go that go good with walking, studying, reading, driving, or trying to stay awake in Art History.

Even when it is not crunch time I find myself always packing a lunch and when you plan ahead like that it is easier to make sure you get a balance of everything you need to. It also allows me to stay in the library for extended periods of time, and nothing keeps me more alert than eating while I study.
